About Us
Our Origin
When you walk into a doctor’s office for something as routine as a primary check-up, you see the physician, maybe a nurse. But behind the curtain, there’s an entire world of professionals making sure your diagnosis is accurate and your treatment is safe. That’s us! The medical laboratory scientists. We’re the ones running the tests, catching the details, and ensuring the science behind your health care is rock solid. LabWho was born to make sure people finally see us.
Our Mission
We want to add “Medical Laboratory Scientist” to the list of answers kids give when asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Doctors, nurses, firefighters, astronauts are all great choices but the unseen heroes in the lab deserve a spot on that list too. Through apparel, merch, and storytelling, we’re pulling back the curtain to showcase the profession that keeps healthcare moving.
The Founder
LabWho is led by a female medical lab scientist who knows firsthand what it means to navigate corporate red tape while staying true to the mission. With an MBA in Healthcare Management, time spent in medical school, and the lived experience of being a patient and cancer survivor, she brings every perspective to the table.
From lab assistant to Medical Laboratory Scientist, to serving on the board as secretary of the ASCLS-CNE, she’s seen how healthcare streamlines and where it doesn’t. That’s why LabWho exists: to educate, to celebrate, and to make sure the people behind the microscope get the recognition they deserve.
Why Merch?
Because no one knows what we do and that’s a problem. So we decided to fix it in the most fun way possible: through apparel and products that spark conversations. Every shirt, hoodie, and mug is a chance to educate, empower, and remind the world that healthcare isn’t just the white coat, it’s the lab coat too.
Our Promise
We’ll keep it real. We’ll keep it smart. And yes, we’ll keep it funny because science deserves a little swagger. LabWho is more than merch; it’s a movement to honor the unseen heroes who make healthcare happen. That means all of us: the phlebotomists drawing blood with precision, the microbiology techs tracking down invisible invaders, the histology and cytology techs interpreting tissue and cells and the lab assistants prepping the specimens before analysis. LabWho creates merch to celebrate all who make the laboratory work.
